Christopher Townsend

Christopher Townsend has a diverse work experience, primarily in the aviation and military sectors. Christopher is currently serving as the 52nd National President and Chairman of the Board of the Navy League of the United States, a nonprofit organization that supports America's sea services. Prior to this role, they held several leadership positions within the Navy League, including National President-elect, National Senior Vice President, and National Vice President. In addition, they served as the President of the Central Florida Council.

Before joining the Navy League, Christopher worked at Delta Air Lines as an Airbus A350 Captain and Line Check Pilot. Christopher has been with the company since 1997 and has also flown the Airbus A350, B-777, and B-737 aircraft.

Christopher also has experience in business development and aviation training. Christopher worked as a Senior Business Development Manager at BGI, LLC, where they focused on the Modeling, Simulation, and Training community in Central Florida and across the United States. Christopher provided pilot subject matter expertise for the Boeing Undergraduate Military Flight Officer program.

Christopher has a background in the military, having served in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Navy Reserve. Christopher achieved the rank of Commander (Ret.) and served as a Naval Aviator. In the U.S. Navy Reserve, they held the position of Commanding Officer for Operations Support Unit 0855.

Christopher Townsend attended Kempsville High School for an unknown period of time. From 1985 to 1989, they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a focus on Finance at the East Carolina University - College of Business. Later, between 1995 and 1997, Christopher obtained a Master of Science in Business Management from Troy University.
