Eric Smith

Eric Smith has worked in various roles throughout their career. Eric started their career at MidAmerican Energy Company in 2009, where they held multiple positions, including Gas Engineer I, Electric Distribution Design Technician I, Gas Engineer II, Senior Gas Engineer, Director of Gas Integrity Management, Director of Gas Compliance and Integrity Management, and Director of Market Operations and Electric Trading for Renewable Generation. In 2021, they joined BHE Renewables, LLC as Vice President of Lithium Development. Eric then transitioned to Vice President of Mineral Development in 2022 and is currently serving as Vice President of Compliance & Security Operations starting from March 2023.

Eric Smith received their Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University, which they attended from 2003 to 2008. Eric then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Iowa, completing their studies from 2013 to 2015.
