Alison Stead

Alison Stead is a professional with diverse experience spanning the fields of music and law. Alison began as a Professional Musician and Ensemble Director from January 2000 to December 2008 and served as Operations Assistant for the Australian Youth Orchestra in 2005. Following this, Alison held various roles at Morgan Hunt, including Team Coordinator, and progressed to Herbert Smith Freehills from 2010 to 2015, where responsibilities included Solicitor and Senior Associate. Most recently, Alison has been with BHP in multiple legal positions, including Managing Counsel - Disputes & Regulatory and Acting Head of Legal - Employee Relations. Alison holds a Bachelor of Music Studies from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of New South Wales.
