Bill Watt

Bill Watt currently serves as the Manager of Improvement Projects at BHP since February 2022. Prior experience includes a significant tenure at Nyrstar from January 2008 to February 2022, where roles encompassed Technical and Continuous Improvement Manager, Zinc and Copper Production Manager, Manager of Technology, and Senior Metallurgist, overseeing large teams and substantial budgets while driving operational excellence in metal production processes. Before Nyrstar, Bill held various roles at Adchem Australia and Pasminco Port Pirie Smelter, focusing on metallurgical operations and process management. Bill’s academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Metallurgy and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Materials Science from the University of Technology Sydney.
