Brad Hurst

Brad Hurst has extensive experience in the mining and security sectors, currently serving as a Shotfirer at BHP since March 2023, focusing on drill and blast operations. Prior to this role, Brad worked as a Blast Operator at Fortescue Metals Group for eight months and briefly with Rio Tinto in drill and blast activities. Brad's background includes a significant tenure at BHP as a Production Specialist on the Blast Crew from October 2018 to May 2022, and nearly nine years as part of the Road Crew in Security at Linfox Armaguard Pty Ltd. Brad began the career in service roles at Barrick Gold Corporation from July 2006 to July 2009. Education was completed at Cannington.
