Cay Mims

Cay Mims has extensive experience in the natural resources sector, currently serving within BHP's Resource Center of Excellence for Global Mine Closure and Future Planning since November 2022. Prior to this role, Mims held several leadership positions at Proudfoot from 2014 to January 2022, including Vice President of Global Natural Resources and Managing Director for the Americas. Mims' career includes key roles at The Highland Group, Alexander Proudfoot, Rand Merchant Bank, and BHP Company Limited, spanning over three decades in various capacities, including geologist and analyst. Educational qualifications include an MBA from Macquarie Business School and a BS in Earth Science from the University of New England, along with preliminary MS studies in Earth Science from The University of Western Australia.
