Daniel Heal

Daniel Heal is currently the Vice President of Western Australia Nickel and Operational Decarbonisation at BHP, where they are a member of the Australian Leadership team overseeing decarbonisation efforts. Previously, they served in various managerial roles at BHP, including General Manager of Newman Operations and Manager of Mine Production and Development, where they excelled in mine operations and strategic planning. Daniel has also contributed as Project Leader at the Australian Centre for Geomechanics and held engineering positions in geotechnics at various mining companies. They are pursuing a PhD in Mining Engineering at The University of Western Australia while holding degrees in Geology and Civil Engineering from the same institution.
