Derek Logan

Derek Logan is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in operational leadership and technical training within the mining and heavy equipment sectors. Currently serving as BOS Lead at BHP since May 2021, Derek provides critical support to the Operations Capability team and oversees the adoption of Business Operating Systems. Previously held the Principal positions in Maintenance Uplift and Mastery at BHP, managing the OS Mastery program and reviewing technical trades curricula. Prior to BHP, Derek worked at Immersive Technologies as Regional Services Manager, facilitating services for mining operators across multiple regions. Also held various roles at Hastings Deering, including Technical Training Manager, where Derek managed the technical training business unit and developed training programs for apprentices. Derek holds multiple certificates in management and training from recognized institutions.
