Derrick Bird

Derrick Bird possesses a diverse background with extensive experience in communications, electronics, and project management. Derrick's career began in electronics as a technician at Hocking Electronics, where skills in component-level repairs were developed. Subsequent roles included store manager at Mitre 10 and various positions at Elders in farm supplies management. Derrick contributed to the heritage renovations and maintenance of Supertowns Projects at the Shire of Katanning before serving as a Mine Communications Technician at MST Global. Currently, Derrick works as a Specialist Communications at BHP. Educational qualifications include an Associate Diploma of Electrical/Electronics Engineering from North West TAFE College and coursework in various subjects at Hobart College.
