Dylan Shacker

Dylan Shacker is a seasoned mining engineer with extensive experience in the mining industry, currently serving as a Principal Mining Engineer at BHP since March 2024. Previous roles include Mine Planning Engineer at Nutrien, where Dylan specialized in long-range planning, and Mining Engineer at Golder, providing site-based support for project trade-off studies and planning. Prior to that, Dylan worked at Shacker Consulting Services Ltd and held a Teaching Assistant position at the University of Saskatchewan, instructing on mining fundamentals. Dylan's career also features significant positions at Selwyn Chihong Mining Ltd, Solid Energy New Zealand Ltd, and KMC Mining, where a variety of engineering and management responsibilities were undertaken, particularly in project assessments, coal scheduling, and drill and blast engineering. Dylan holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan and a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from the University of Alberta.
