Elizabeth Plotnek

Elizabeth Plotnek is an experienced professional in the fields of hydrogeology and dam engineering, currently serving as the GISTM Validation Lead (Secondment) with BHP since January 2020, focusing on tailings excellence within the Resource Centre of Excellence Global team. Previously, Elizabeth held the role of Dam Engineer at BHP, overseeing water storage facilities at Olympic Dam, and worked as a hydrogeologist at Yandi, Western Australia. Elizabeth's career began at BHP as a Graduate Field Hydrogeologist, with various roles in the Pilbara region, complemented by an internship in geoscience at Woodside Energy. Elizabeth's educational background includes ongoing studies for a Master of Science in Groundwater Hydrology at Flinders University, along with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Petroleum Geology and Geophysics from the University of Adelaide and a Bachelor of Science in Geoscience from Monash University.
