Jane Kuang serves as the Head of Decision Evaluation, Portfolio Strategy & Development at BHP since August 2021. Prior to this role, Jane held various positions at Rio Tinto from May 2015 to June 2021, including General Manager of Cost Leadership, where Jane led a multidisciplinary team to implement a significant Cost Leadership program across multiple mining sites in Australia and Canada, and General Manager of Strategy and Business Analysis, focusing on corporate strategy and business case assessments for investments. Earlier in Jane's career at Rio Tinto Energy, Jane acted as Business Executive to the CEO, providing strategic advice and stakeholder engagement support. Jane's experience also includes roles in industry and market analysis at Rio Tinto Iron Ore and business development at Huawei Technologies. Jane holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Melbourne Business School and a Bachelor of Arts from Shanghai International Studies University.
