Jianping Li is a highly experienced geotechnical engineer with a robust background in both industry and academia. For over 12 years at BHP, Jianping held multiple positions including Senior Geotechnical Engineer and Principal Advisor/Engineer - Geotechnical, and currently serves as Principal Geotechnical Engineer since January 2020. Prior experience includes a role as Research Fellow/Senior Research Fellow at WA School of Mines, Curtin University. Jianping possesses a PhD in Geomechanics from the Western Australian School of Mines, along with a Master's degree in Open-pit slope engineering from Changsha Research Institute of Mining & Metallurgy, and a Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering from Chongqing University.
