Justin Willis is an experienced tailings engineer with a mining engineering and geotechnical background, having worked on various tailings projects across Australia, Asia, and Africa. They held the position of Global Practice Lead Tailings at BHP, where they governed and provided technical support for the safe operation of tailings and water dams. Previously, Justin served as a Senior Tailings Engineer at Golder Associates, managing tailings storage facility projects and overseeing their entire life cycle. They earned a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from Technische Universität Wien and a Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering from UNSW.
