Liam Bavin

Liam Bavin is a Senior Structural Geologist at BHP, currently focused on analyzing the complex geology of the Eastern Pilbara through field mapping and structural modeling. Previously, they served as a Laboratory Demonstrator at Curtin University, teaching fundamentals of Petroleum Geology, and worked as a Soil Lab Geologist at GTI Perth, conducting sediment tests for geotechnical engineering. Liam started their career as a Geologist at Pathfinder Energy Management Ltd, where they created databases for offshore exploration permits. They hold a Master's degree in Geological and Earth Sciences from Curtin University and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from The University of Western Australia.
