Maria Joyce

Maria Joyce serves as the Vice President of Maintenance & Engineering Centre of Excellence and Chief of Staff to the CEO at BHP, where responsibilities include establishing the PMO and leading global initiatives to address sexual assault and harassment within the organization. Prior experience includes the Head of Business Planning for BMA, where Maria was accountable for developing business plans for coal assets and serving on the Asset Leadership team. Previous roles also encompass General Manager positions at MEC Mining, specializing in strategy and operations, as well as foundational roles in engineering and project management at BHP and Wesfarmers Resources Limited. Maria holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) from The University of Queensland and completed several leadership and management courses at the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Melbourne Business School.
