Currently, Martin serves as the Head of Health, Safety, Security & Emergency Management for BHP Billiton's Copper South Australia, with a history of leadership roles across the company including managing health, safety, and environment functions at various mining operations. Prior experience includes positions at Newmont Corporation and BHP focusing on environmental management, safety, and community relations. Martin's educational background includes a PhD in Minesite Rehabilitation and a BSc (Hons) in Ecology from The University of Western Australia, along with advanced training in radiation safety and corporate governance.
