Matthew Evans

Matthew Evans has extensive experience in business development and investment evaluation, currently serving as Principal Business Development at BHP since November 2014, where responsibilities include mergers and acquisitions as well as strategic investment evaluation across various mining assets. Previous positions held at BHP encompass roles in finance business partnership and investment evaluation, focusing on significant investment projects and performance insights for multiple coal mines. Prior to BHP, Matthew undertook vacation clerk roles at Herbert Smith Freehills and McCullough Robertson within their Finance & Banking teams. Matthew holds an MBA from The University of Queensland and has furthered education with another MBA from Harvard Extension School, alongside a Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting and various law and commerce degrees from prestigious institutions.
