Michiel Hovers

Michiel Hovers is an experienced professional in sales and marketing, currently serving as the Group Sales and Marketing Officer at BHP since October 2003. In this role, Michiel leads the global Sales and Marketing organization for Metals, Iron Ore, Coal, and Petroleum products. Prior to this, Michiel held various Vice President positions in Marketing for Petroleum, Iron Ore, Nickel, and Uranium, as well as serving as a Trading Manager focused on Energy Coal, Emissions, Power, and Gas. Earlier experience includes a role as Trading Manager for Fuels at Nuon and as a Trader for Cocoa at Cargill. Michiel holds a Master's degree in Business Economics & Finance from Tilburg University, obtained in 1995.
