Mitchell Tatam

Mitchell Tatam served as Chief of Staff to the Group General Counsel and Group Company Secretary at BHP, where they currently contribute to corporate legal matters. They previously held the position of Managing Counsel and were seconded into the Corporate Legal team to assist with M&A activities. Prior to joining BHP in 2021, Mitchell worked at Herbert Smith Freehills from 2015 to 2020, where they advanced from Solicitor to Senior Associate, specializing in energy and resources matters. Mitchell earned a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce with majors in Corporate Finance and Investment Finance from The University of Western Australia between 2009 and 2014.
