Owain Davies

Owain Davies currently serves as the Environmental Performance Superintendent at BHP, a position held since February 2020. Prior to this role, Owain was a Principal Environment and Environmental Superintendent at Anglo American from July 2015 to February 2020, where responsibilities included subsidence monitoring, environmental rehabilitation, mine closure planning, and securing environmental approvals. Earlier experience includes serving as an Environmental Coordinator and a Project Engineer for Anglo American, focusing on environmental management and compliance for mining operations. Additionally, Owain has worked as an Exploration Geologist for The Moultrie Group and as an Environmental Engineer at Vertase F.L.I. Limited, specializing in soil and groundwater remediation techniques. Owain holds a Master's degree in Applied Environmental Geology and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Geoscience from Cardiff University.
