Principal Geotechnical Engineer

Priscilla Torres is a Geotechnical Engineer with 14 years of experience in the technical execution and management of projects related to mining, infrastructure, laboratory, and the energy sector. Priscilla led geotechnical teams on projects involving geotechnical characterization and the physical stability of tailings, dumps, and leach piles. Priscilla has expertise in interpreting laboratory and field tests, static and seismic numerical modeling of tailings and waste rock, and geotechnical exploration campaigns. Currently, Priscilla serves as a Principal Geotechnical Engineer at BHP, having previously held positions at ARCADIS and IDIEM. Priscilla earned a degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering from Universidad de Chile.
