Raul Salgado is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in engineering and maintenance management, particularly within the mining and naval sectors. At BHP since October 2018, Raul has held multiple leadership roles including Superintendent of Modifications & Operational Projects Study and Lead Engineer for Governance & Tech Stewardship. Prior to this, Raul contributed to BHP from January 2012 to August 2018 as an Engineer in Planning and Maintenance, focusing on safety and operational efficiency. Raul's naval experience includes serving as the Chief of Maintenance Center for the Fourth Naval Zone from 2010 to 2012, where responsibilities encompassed planning and executing maintenance for 14 vessels, and as Chief of the Engineering Department for a missile boat, achieving high operational availability. Raul holds a Master's degree in Asset and Maintenance Management and a Diploma in Maintenance Engineering from Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria, as well as a degree in Naval Mechanical Engineering from the Naval Polytechnic Academy.
