Rebecca Wright has extensive experience in environmental management and planning, with a focus on water resource management and sustainability. Currently serving as Manager of Environmental Approvals and Biodiversity at BHP since October 2014, Rebecca leads strategic and tactical planning for water resources at BHP’s Pilbara Operations. Prior roles include Manager Closure Planning and Principal Closure Planning for BHP and Cliffs Natural Resources, where Rebecca managed various aspects of mine closure planning and environmental approvals. Earlier experience includes serving as Study Manager for the Cockatoo Island project and as Manager of Planning and Design at Penrith Lakes Development Corporation, where Rebecca directed statutory planning and sustainability initiatives. Holding a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Technology, Sydney, Rebecca has demonstrated strong leadership and project management skills throughout her career.
