Rob Holmes

Rob Holmes is an experienced data science and analytics professional currently serving as the Lead Data Science and Analytics at BHP, where leadership involves guiding a team in developing maintenance strategies at the Maintenance and Engineering Centre of Excellence. Previously, Rob contributed to the Total Equipment Strategy program at BHP as a Data Scientist, focusing on creating descriptive and predictive models for maintenance strategies. Additional experience includes working as a Data Scientist at Strategenics, providing analytics solutions across various industries and participating in data governance projects, and holding managerial and scientific roles at BMT and Plymouth Marine Laboratory. Rob holds a Master's Degree in Oceanography from the University of Southampton and a Bachelor's Degree in Financial & Actuarial Mathematics from Dublin City University.
