Robert Smith has extensive experience in health, safety, and environmental (HSE) roles within the mining and energy sectors. Currently serving as Superintendent HSE Exploration North America at BHP since January 2014, Robert has held multiple HSE positions, including HSE Minerals Exploration USA and HSE Canada Closed Mines. Prior to his current role, Robert worked at BHP Billiton as an HSE Specialist for the Eagle Ford Shale from August 2012 to January 2014 and served as an HSE Advisor at BP from May 2007 to August 2012. Earlier experience includes a position in offshore support at Getronics, covering desktop and network support alongside HSE responsibilities. Robert holds a degree from Columbia Southern University, completed between 2007 and 2010.
