Rowan McAllister

Rowan McAllister is a seasoned marketing professional with extensive experience in the mining and resources sector. Currently serving as the Marketing Manager for Copper at BHP since March 2018, Rowan excels in commercial negotiations and customer relationship management. Previously, Rowan led the Sales & Marketing team for the US$4.9 billion Jansen Stage 2 project and was the BHP Marketing BMC Divestment Lead, successfully managing a US$1.3 billion asset separation. Alongside a background in logistics and supply chain management, Rowan has worked as a Principal Geologist for the Queensland Government, overseeing project approvals for significant mining projects. With experience spanning multiple roles in various companies, including GeoConsult Pty Ltd and First Quantum Minerals, Rowan holds a Master of Science in Applied Finance from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Geology and Petroleum Geology from the University of Aberdeen.
