Ryan Chambers Peng

Ryan Chambers PEng is a seasoned geotechnical engineer currently serving as the Principal Geotechnical Engineer within the Legacy Assets team at BHP since October 2019. Prior experience includes working as a Tailings Engineer at Imperial Oil, where responsibilities involved preparing tailings management plans and overseeing construction of key infrastructure at Kearl Oilsands Mine. Earlier roles at Imperial Oil included onsite supervision of earthworks and support for various major projects. Ryan's career began with multiple internships in geotechnical and geological engineering at organizations such as BGC Engineering Inc. and the Geological Survey of Canada. Ryan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Geological/Geophysical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, earned in 2010.
