Sam Francou

Sam Francou has extensive experience in the mining and minerals processing sector, currently serving as General Manager for Olympic Dam Surface at BHP since March 2019. Previously, Sam held various managerial roles at BHP from March 2008 to January 2019, including General Manager for Olympic Dam Mine and Underground Production and Development Manager. Prior to BHP, Sam worked at Anglo American as Production Superintendent and Metallurgical Manager from September 2005 to March 2008. Educational qualifications include an MBP from Stellenbosch Business School, a degree from the University of South Australia, and recognition as a Site Senior Executive from Queensland Government. Additionally, Sam trained at the Australian Institute of Sport in rowing.
