Shane Whittaker is an experienced resource geologist specializing in gold, nickel, and iron ore. From 1998 to 2003, Shane worked at St Ives Gold Mining Company and LionOre in various geological roles before joining BHP, where they currently serve as a Senior Resource Geologist. Shane has also held the position of Principal Geologist at BHP in Perth, Australia, and has furthered their education with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geology from Queensland University of Technology, along with graduate qualifications in Geostatistics and Finance and Investment.
