Simon Baird

Simon Baird has extensive experience in project engineering and management, currently serving as Manager Project Studies Oak Dam UG Access at BHP since January 2013. Prior positions at BHP include Study Lead for Oak Dam Access and Senior Project Engineer within Olympic Dam Asset Projects, focusing on high-value capital projects and early project development. Prior to joining BHP, Simon held roles as a Mechanical Engineer and Graduate Mechanical Engineer at Foster's Australia, complemented by a background in mechanical engineering and finance from Swinburne University of Technology, where Simon earned a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) and a Bachelor of Business (Finance).
