Simon Taylor

Simon Taylor is a mining professional with extensive experience in strategy, planning, and leadership. They began their career as a GIS Analyst at NZ Landcare Trust from 2009 to 2012 and held various roles at BHP, including Mining Engineer and Senior Mine Geologist, before becoming a Senior Mining Engineer in 2023. Simon's educational background includes a BSc and MSc from the University of Waikato, along with specialized training in Geomechanics and Cave Mining Fundamentals from The University of Queensland. Additionally, they completed a Resource Estimation Course through the Snowden Group in 2017.
