Stephen Barley

Stephen Barley is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in accounting policy and sustainability. Currently serving as the Head of Accounting Policy and Sustainability Controllership at BHP since June 2017, Stephen previously held roles including Manager of Global Accounting Policy. Prior to BHP, Stephen worked at PwC from August 2005 to June 2017, progressing from Assurance Manager to Assurance Director. Stephen began a career in auditing at Ernst & Young, where tenure lasted from September 1998 to August 2005. Stephen earned a BA in Accounting & Finance and German Studies from Lancaster University between 1994 and 1998.
