Stephen Cox is an experienced project and operations manager specializing in the coal, energy, and mining sectors. Currently serving as Project Development Manager at BHP since November 2016, Stephen leads the coal development portfolio and previously managed studies through to sanction within the coal capital portfolio. Before joining BHP, Stephen held positions such as Operations Manager at Superior Jetties and Chief Technology Officer at QuaySource (Hong Kong) Limited, where responsibilities included technical consultancy and business development for energy and mining clients. Stephen's extensive background in project delivery includes significant roles at Santos Ltd and Rio Tinto, managing multi-million dollar projects and engineering teams. Stephen holds an MBA from Deakin University, a Diploma of Frontline Management from South East College of TAFE, and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Curtin University.
