Sumit Patel is a highly experienced engineering professional with a strong background in project management and execution within the resources and construction sectors. Currently serving as Principal Project Engineer at BHP since October 2022, Sumit has held several key positions including Area Manager - Non Process & Interface at Iluka Resources and Lead Project Engineer at BHP. With extensive experience at companies such as Yara Pilbara Fertilisers, CB&I Kentz Joint Venture, and WorleyParsons, responsibilities have spanned from preparing project scopes, conducting technical evaluations, and maintaining construction schedules to ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and supporting engineering teams.
