Tom Hilder is an experienced professional in metallurgical and processing engineering with a career spanning over 30 years. Currently serving as Principal Global for Processing and Metallurgy at BHP, since November 2018, Tom provides thought leadership and enhances the capabilities of metallurgists and process engineers. Previous roles at BHP included Principal Process Engineer, where Tom managed major project engineering and maintenance activities. Prior to BHP, Tom worked at WorleyParsons and the Ian Wark Research Institute, contributing to significant projects in mineral technology and testwork. Additional experience includes positions at URS Corporation, Amdel Ltd, Ravensdown Fertiliser Australia Limited, Aberfoyle, and Tioxide Australia/UK, with a strong focus on project management, process optimization, and technical program oversight.
