Richard Sower

Richard Sower is an accomplished IT professional with extensive experience in infrastructure management, IT security, and service delivery. Currently serving as IT Infrastructure and IT Security Manager at BHSF since July 2018, Richard also holds the position of IT Operations Manager, overseeing a team of six and managing various aspects of IT services, cyber security, and supplier relations. Prior to this role, Richard was the IT Support Team Manager at Birmingham Newman University from September 2004 to July 2018, where responsibilities included managing a team of 14 and supporting 5,000 users, along with enhancing IT infrastructure and systems. Early career experience includes positions as an IT Support Technician at Kalamazoo UCS Ltd and a Customer Service Operator at HFC Bank. Richard holds a BEng in Computer Engineering from the University of Birmingham, completed in 2003.
