Heather Cahan

Heather Cahan is a Rare Disease Clinical Development professional and Associate Chief Medical Officer of Pediatrics, currently serving at Salud Para La Gente. With a demonstrated history in pediatric care and biotechnology, Heather has focused on pediatric rare diseases, CNS disorders, and gene therapy, successfully leading IND submissions and BLA filings with the FDA and EMA. Previously, Heather held roles such as Vice President at Mahzi Therapeutics and Vice President of Clinical Development at Capsida Biotherapeutics, in addition to several positions as a neonatologist and pediatrician. Heather earned an M.D. from the University of Arizona and completed a fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
