Daniel McLean

Daniel McLean has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering. Daniel started their career at Telstra as a Graduate Engineer in 2005. Daniel then joined Creative Audio as a Design Engineer, where they worked on developing the Vocia product line.

In 2007, Daniel became a Self-Employed Contract Hardware Design Engineer, Firmware Engineer, and Software Developer. During this time, they worked for Bglobal plc and was involved in the technical analysis and evaluation of metering data retrieval technologies. Daniel also developed a smart metering data hub prototype.

In 2008, Daniel joined Biamp as a Design Engineer and gradually progressed to various managerial positions. Daniel managed software development teams and was responsible for the technical leadership and management of the software and firmware engineers. Daniel led project teams and had full project delivery responsibility. Daniel also played a key role in enhancing and extending the Vocia product line.

Currently, Daniel holds the position of Director of Firmware Engineering and Engineering Infrastructure at Biamp.

Daniel McLean has a diverse education history. Daniel obtained a Master of Business & Technology (MBT) degree from UNSW, with a duration from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they attended Griffith University from 2000 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree with a specialization in Microelectronics, as well as a Bachelor of Information Technology degree with a focus on Computer Science.

Before their university studies, Daniel McLean attended Padua College from 1992 to 1999, although no specific degree or field of study was mentioned.

In addition to their formal education, Daniel McLean has obtained several certifications. These include the Jira Fundamentals Badge from Atlassian in July 2022, the Mastering CVSS v3.0 certification from FIRST.Org EDX in January 2020, and the Dante Certification Levels 1, 2, and 3 from Audinate in July 2018. Daniel also completed the Managing an Agile Team certification from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in November 2016.
