Bill Mounce, PhD, MA, has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles related to biblical studies and education. Bill started their career in 1980 as the owner of Teknia Software, where they created eLearning tools for learning biblical languages. In 1985, they became an author at Zondervan Publishers and continued to contribute in this role. In 1991, Bill joined Azusa Pacific University as a Professor of New Testament, teaching until 1991. From 1991 to 1995, they worked as a Professor and Director of the Greek Program at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. In 2000, Bill co-founded BiblicalTraining.org, where they served as the President and contributed to its growth. During the same year, they also began working as a Professional Speaker and developed content for their blog, videos, and eLearning at BillMounce.com. In 2009, Bill held the position of Vice President of Educational Development at BibleGateway. In 2010, they became a member of the Committee on Bible Translation at Biblica. Overall, Bill Mounce has a vast amount of experience and expertise in biblical studies, teaching, publishing, and eLearning.
Bill Mounce, PhD, MA obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biblical Studies from Western Kentucky University from 1971 to 1974. Bill then pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biblical Studies at Bethel University from 1973 to 1974. Following that, they completed a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Biblical Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary from 1974 to 1977. Finally, they earned a Ph.D. in Biblical Backgrounds from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, where they studied from 1977 to 2000.
