Vedat Ozkan

Vedat Ozkan has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Vedat currently works at BICS as a Development Team Manager since May 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Nokia for a significant period of time. At Nokia, Vedat held various roles including Scrum Master and Senior Software Engineer. As a Scrum Master, they were responsible for facilitating Scrum ceremonies and helping the team overcome any obstacles. Vedat also worked closely with customers and stakeholders to analyze product issues and identify new feature requests. As a Senior Software Engineer, Vedat worked on the design and development of the Home Device Manager Product using Java and J2EE standards. Vedat also served as a Team Lead on the Generic TR-069 Proxy project, where they contributed to developing a proxy between the Home Device Manager and the device.

Before their tenure at Nokia, Vedat worked at Telenity as a Software Engineer. Vedat participated in the implementation of the Canvas Converged Service Platform Product, which involved Java, J2EE, MySQL, XML, Struts, and Web Services. Additionally, they worked on the development of the Canvas Administration/Third Party Portal using Java, Struts, Portlets, BPM, and Oracle App Server. Vedat worked on projects such as the Turkcell SDP Project and the deployment of Canvas CSP at Nawras, Oman.

Vedat Ozkan has a diverse education history. Vedat completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Istanbul University, where they studied from 2001 to 2007. Before pursuing computer engineering, Vedat initially enrolled in Civil Engineering at Istanbul Technical University from 1999 to 2001 but left the program. Prior to their university studies, Vedat attended Biga Atatürk Anatolian High School from 1992 to 1999, focusing on subjects related to mathematics and science.

In addition to their formal education, Vedat has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. Vedat received the AWS Certified Developer – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in January 2021. In December 2020, Vedat also obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification, also from AWS. Furthermore, in April 2015, they became a certified PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP™) through The Project Management Institute (PMI).
