Simon Potvin has a comprehensive work experience spanning multiple roles and companies in the wood processing industry. Simon started their career at Comact in 1990 as a Project Manager and worked their way up to become the Vice President and General Manager. In 2006, they joined Équipements Comact inc. as the Vice President and Owner until 2011. Potvin then joined BID Group in 2012 as Vice President, eventually being promoted to Senior Vice President, Executive Vice President, and finally President of the Wood Processing Division. Simon Potvin completed their primary education at Séminaire Saint-Francois, where they obtained a DES degree between 1977 and 1983. Simon then pursued higher studies at Séminaire St-Georges, earning a DEC in Science from 1983 to 1985. Simon went on to study at Université Laval from 1986 to 1990, where they obtained a BAC degree in Mechanical Engineering.
