Ian Akisoglu is an MBA candidate at Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management and is currently a Fund Manager at Big Red Ventures. Previously, Ian served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the US Navy from 2013 to 2019, leading a team of twenty sailors and deploying in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. Ian also worked as an Associate at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP from 2022 to 2024, representing startups in venture financing rounds and advising on securities law compliance. In 2024, Ian co-founded Nyxara, focusing on space-to-ground communications technology, and is currently a Graduate Fellow at Lafayette Square Institute.
