Michael Wood

Michael Wood is an executive producer and lead director at Freethink, specializing in storytelling that highlights transformative ideas and individuals. With 17 years of professional experience, they began their career as a freelance filmmaker and worked as an assistant editor on Spike Lee's documentary *Bad 25*. They served as creative director at Bystander Revolution before owning Gates & Greene, where they expanded services and launched an apprenticeship program for diverse filmmakers. Michael has won multiple awards, including a Webby and several Telly Awards, during their tenure at Freethink, where they continue to lead creative teams. They hold an MFA in Cinematography and Film/Video Production from New York University and a BE in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University.
