Improving quality of life for the people of Africa defines who we are and what we do. Our philosophy, "doing good while doing business" is evident in every step we take and every project we complete. At Bigen we rise by uplifting others. We believe in dreams, we focus on what truly matters and we turn people's lives into stories of inspiration.

Bigen is a privately owned group of companies born on African soil in 1971. The engineering firm soon transformed itself into one of Africa's leading infrastructure development activists, committed to social betterment and effecting infrastructure development impact to optimise the sustainable impact of projects on the long-term social wellbeing of all stakeholders.

Our clients in the Water, Real Estate, Transport, Energy and Health sectors across Africa, rely on us to provide innovative infrastructure development solutions through an appropriate product offering aimed at addressing the economic challenges the continent faces.

Our core of bespoke projects across sectors and disciplines in 19 African countries bears testimony to our excellence in service delivery and our investment in development impact to improve the lives of people on the African continent.

Our inherent belief in "doing good while doing business" assists us to "walk the talk". In fact, we walk it so powerfully that we have received more than 50 awards for business excellence, socio-economic upliftment, transformation, and gender equality over the past three years.

Our creative, multicultural working environment in offices across the African continent supports talented, empowered teams that operate with integrity and a passion for excellence. Their skills, commitment and experience make Bigen what is - a Group differentiated by its alternative approach to infrastructure development, its innovation, transparency and trustworthiness.
