Austin Barry

Austin Barry is the current Director of Finance at BiggerPockets. Prior to their current role, Austin was the Director of FP&A at Fixd Repair from January 2020 to April 2021. In this role, they supported the product management team by developing business related reporting utilizing data and product models. Austin also identified and reconciled code and errors in previous reports and company data to ensure accurate business insights. Additionally, Austin liaised between business and technical personnel to ensure accurate understanding of business related data and reporting. Austin created training modules for future team employees centering around multiple software tools utilized by analysts.

Before joining Fixd Repair, Austin was the Manager of Finance & Analytics at HomeAdvisor from February 2015 to January 2020. In this role, they were responsible for the entire data and reporting side of m2M Strategies including creating, ensuring and optimizing automated client reporting, valid data acquisition for marketing campaigns and client business planning dashboard creation. Austin also built out streamlined reporting processes to optimize digital and print marketing initiatives and ensure marketing campaign execution with Tableau reporting software tools. Additionally, they leveraged 2 years of transactional data to build an annual marketing budget and a lead generation-pipeline forecasting model in Excel across 60 franchise locations for one of the largest flooring service companies in North America that provided a 15% increase in monthly leads. Austin also created and automated standardized weekly, monthly and quarterly client ROI and operational reporting frameworks for 3 major national Franchises. Lastly, Austin built an annual business planning dashboard for a national day care center franchise to be used as a franchise sales tool and leveraged this as a turnkey solution for current franchise operators.

Austin Barry has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Ernest Scheller College of Business at Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration in Finance and General from the University of Colorado Boulder.
