Mitchell Stieg is a Senior Automation Engineer at BigHat Biosciences since May 2023, with prior experience as an Automation Engineer at Aether Biomachines, Inc., a startup specializing in Machine Learning and Synthetic Biology, from December 2018 to May 2023. Previously, at Driver from June 2016 to October 2018, Mitchell served as the Automation Lead, where leadership was provided to an automation team focused on developing, optimizing, and validating a tumor/normal NGS assay, along with other roles including Automation Scientist and Laboratory Scientist. Early career experience includes roles as a Laboratory Operations Intern and Head Lifeguard at both the University of California, Berkeley and Front Range Recreation. Education includes a degree from the University of California, Berkeley, earned between 2013 and 2017.
