Dr. Muller joined BMP in 2018 and oversees the scientific aspects of BigMoon’s technology development. Starting his career as a structural engineer, Gerald then completed a PhD in wave power, and became an academic. Today, his main areas of interest are hydraulic engineering and renewable energy. In these fields, he developed several new hydropower technologies for very low head differences, and for free stream applications. Within BMP Gerald is advising on new scientific developments, including the principles for a second generation floating power converter.
Gerald is an internationally known expert for hydropower, he has developed and designed a number of experimental facilities for novel hydropower technology, giving him the expertise and experience for the exciting new technology emerging within BMP.
