Florian Knappe is a German video game art director and graphic designer. Florian is currently the art director at Bigpoint.

Knappe began their career in 1997 as a 2D and 3D artist and game designer for VIDCO Video Copy Company & Postproduction GmbH. Florian worked on several games during their time with the company, including Killer Loop and MagForce Racing. In 2004, they left VIDCO to join 49Games GmbH as the head of the graphic department.

During their time with 49Games, Knappe worked on several high-profile games, including the RTL Skijumping Series, RTL Alpine Skiiing Series, Bode Miller Alpine Skiing, and Torino 2006 - The Official Video Game. Florian also worked on the RTL Biathlon Series, Winter Sports Series, and Summer Sports Series. In 2011, they left 49Games to join Bigpoint as art director.

Knappe has been credited with helping to create some of the most iconic video game graphics of the last two decades. Their work has been praised for its attention to detail and its ability to evoke emotion in the player.

Florian Knappe studied graphic design at the G5 Technical School for Design & Fine Arts. Florian holds an advanced technical college certificate in the field.

They work with Moritz Möller - Technical Director, André Adam - Head of Project Management, and Stefan Teubner - Head of Sales & Business Development. Florian Knappe reports to Xuanren Zhou, Studio Director.
