Darshan Shankar has worked for a variety of companies since 2010. Darshan began their career as a Software Engineering Intern at CardMunch Inc. in 2010. In the same year, they founded Flotype and raised $1.4 million in venture capital from Andreessen Horowitz, Y Combinator, and Salesforce Ventures. Darshan was a Y Combinator alum in Winter 2011. In 2014, they founded Bigscreen VR, one of the biggest VR platforms in the world, with millions of users on popular VR headsets. People use Bigscreen's software for many use cases, such as hanging out with friends, watching movies, playing videogames, and collaborating with coworkers. In 2022, they joined True Ventures as a Venture Scout.
Darshan Shankar completed their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 2010. Prior to this, they attended Brookfield Central High School. In 2011, they attended Y Combinator for Entrepreneurship.
